General information about drum wraps:

Recommended Adhesive
To obtain long-lasting quality, it is important to use the correct adhesive. Therefore, we recommend
3M (30-NF, FASTBOND, Neutral) Contact Adhesive. In addition, you may be able to purchase it in a local hardware store. On the other hand, you may purchase a quart of 3M 30-NF from us. One quart will do at least a five piece drum set.
Most importantly, using any other adhesive products may not yield good results.

Additional Helpful Information
The instruction sheet furnished with all wrap purchases provides information on removing old wraps and installing new. In addition, the step-by-step instructions will assure perfect, factory-like results.

Furthermore, most drum wrap orders ship within two days of receipt of payment. However, colors are occasionally out of stock and will be back ordered. Therefore, if you are in a rush to receive your wraps, please let us know at the time you place your order.

Lastly, drum wraps will be rolled into a cardboard box or tube and shipped to you by UPS or USPS. Most importantly, when you receive the wrap, unroll it and lay flat until you are ready to recover your drums.

To request a price quote or place an order, you may phone us at 845-635-9820. However, you may also use the quote/order email below. Most importantly, list your color choice, drum sizes, and zip code. In addition, always list drum sizes as Depth x Diameter.

Furthermore, wraps may be ordered in full sheets or precut to your drums sizes.

If ordering full sheets, be careful when calculating the number of full sheets required to cover your drums. Further, we recommend allowing 1/2” extra material in depth, and 2” in length. Most importantly, the length of the wrap is equal to the circumference of the drum:

Circumference = Diameter x 3.14

Wrap appearance:

Drum wrap colors and patterns may vary from one “batch” to another, as part of the manufacturers tolerance. Therefore, if close matching of color or pattern is necessary, please be sure you request a free sample swatch of our current wrap material. Furthermore, if you are building or recovering drums one at a time, we suggest purchasing all the wraps together so they are guaranteed to match.
In addition, colors may become discontinued without notice.

Form and fit:

Drums with a diameter larger than 16” will require more than one piece of wrap to cover the drum. Consequently, the wrap will have two seams. In addition, wraps will be cut so seams will be positioned as close to the bottom of the shell as possible. However, if seam locations are important to you, please contact us, as wraps may need to be cut differently. Consequently, the cost may be higher.

Furthermore, pre-cut wraps are provided with 1/2” extra depth and 2” extra length unless otherwise requested by customer.

Durability:

Glass glitter wraps are extremely brittle, and must be handled with extra care. Therefore, Precision Drum Company will not take responsibility for any breakage while working with wraps.

In addition, some wraps shrink slightly over time. Consequently, this can result in the wrap seams lifting – a condition that can easily be repaired.

Most importantly, drum wraps should not be exposed to long periods of direct sunlight.

Installation:

When using a paint/finish remover like “Zipstrip” to remove old glue from drum shells, wait at least 24 hours before applying the new glue and wrap.

In addition, drum wraps should be adhered to drum shells using 3M 30-NF contact cement, which you may be able to find it in your local hardware store, or purchase it from us. Furthermore, one quart will cover a five piece kit or more. Most importantly, using any other adhesive products may not yield good results.

Delivery time:

We try to stock all wraps listed on our site, and can generally ship within a day of receiving payment. However, some wraps may be out of stock when you purchase. Therefore, if your order is time sensitive, please ask us about stock status when you place your order.

Lastly, custom wraps usually take 4-8 weeks for delivery.
