Drum Shells

Drum shells are the foundation of any drum kit. Therefore, it is important to choose your shells wisely. Precision Drum Company offers only the highest quality shells and has been a Keller shell distributor for many years. As a result, we stock the Keller VSS maple shells in 5, 6, 8, and 10 ply as well as the Vintage Mahogany shells. In addition, acrylic shells made by RCI are also available in many colors and configurations.

Maple Drum Shells

5, 6, 8, and 10 ply, with or without reinforcing rings. In addition, 15 ply and thicker shells are available in some diameters. Bearing edge cutting, hole drilling, and other services may be applied to shells. For example, we can provide you with edged, drilled, and finished shells ready for you to assemble.

Mahogany Drum Shells

Keller Vintage Mahogany shells

Comprised of African Mahogany outer and inner plies, three plies of North American Poplar, and one ply of Maple. As a result, they yield a warm, full tone. Vintage Mahogany shells include 10 ply Maple reinforcing rings. Bearing edge, hole drilling, and other services may be added. In addition, a natural finish or plastic wrap can be applied to any shell.

Acrylic Drum Shells

RCI Acrylic Shells

Manufactured by RCI International. Hardened acrylic polymer engineered by RCI and made in the USA .

All seams are acrylic welded and sealed (Engineered at RCI International Patent Pending). As a result, seams are air and water tight. RCI shells do not have a support tab or thin strip of plastic to hold seams together. Most importantly, RCI Starlite shells stand second to none and are made specifically for the percussion industry.
